Every Redhouse & Bellew tie is woven and hand-finished in Como, in direct partnership with the mill that has made our ties since day one. There's no anonymous supply chain behind this piece — we know the people who make it, and we pay fairly for the work. Como has been the centre of European silk weaving for over a century, and it shows in the hand: a density and drape that printed, machine-made ties simply can't replicate.

This tie is constructed using the traditional three-fold method — three layers of silk folded into the body rather than a separate lining sewn in, giving it natural weight and a fuller, more substantial knot without ever feeling stiff. The tip and reverse are hand-rolled and slip-stitched by hand, which is what lets the tie recover its shape after a day of wear instead of creasing permanently at the knot.

100% Italian silk, herringbone-woven with a jacquard pin dot pattern. Dry, matte-leaning espresso ground with an off-white dot — designed to read as a rich neutral rather than a pattern, so it earns its place as a genuine everyday tie rather than a once-a-year piece.

Care

Silk is a natural fibre and rewards a little patience. We'd recommend:

• Dry clean only — never machine wash or iron directly on silk
• Hang or loosely roll when not in use; avoid leaving it knotted, which stresses the weave at the same point every time
• Let it rest a day between wears where possible — this lets the silk relax and recover its shape naturally
• Steam lightly from a distance if it needs refreshing; never press an iron directly onto the fabric

Properly cared for, a silk tie like this should easily outlast a decade of wear — which is the point. We make in small batches rather than mass volumes, so this isn't disposable styling; it's built to be the tie you reach for without thinking, for years.

Pairs well with
